Who we are
North Coast Soaps began many years ago in my forest home kitchen in the northern Santa Cruz mountains.
It feels like I’ve alway had herbs & flowers hanging, clay drying, candles being poured, soap curing, oils & butters being mixed and infused with flowers and herbs and essential oils. I love working in all of these mediums and am constantly learning new techniques that inspire new ideas.
After many, many batches of soap, I started to really understand the techniques of cold process soap making. I try to capture what I see in parts of the sky, the ocean, trees, sunsets and moon rises, in a 3D loaf of soap. I am currently on soap batch #263 and counting! Fresh batches are always being cured, and ready every few weeks.
I am so fortunate to be here in my forest, making my soaps and candles and jewelry. I hope some of the energy of this beautiful world around me infuses into my creations. :)
